Tenacity to wait

During a recent time of consecration I inquired of the Lord of what shall be required of those of us who have trusted Him for our breakthrough to cause us to persevere in the days ahead. The Lord promptly responded the “tenacity to wait”. At first the statement seemed to be an oxymoron and I did not understand what the Lord meant by that so I went to His Word for further clarification. The scripture that most strengthen my spirit and brought great encouragement is Psalm 37:34 “Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.”

First let me give you the definition of what it means to be tenacious. Tenacity means determined or stubborn. It also means to be tightly held, difficult to loosen, shake off or pull away from and is not easily disconnected.

And the Lord says, In this day you must be determined to wait on Me. You must hold tightly to what you have believed and in Whom you have believed. You must not allow yourself to be distracted or allow yourself to be led away by compromise. If you will faithfully hold on and wait you shall be of they who partake of the promise and the eternal guarantee. For those who will be tenacious enough to wait on Me I shall prove Myself strong on your behalf. And even though you have thought for a time that I have hidden My face from you, still I say wait for at the appointed time we shall see each other face to face. As you wait, as you look for Me; I shall be found. In this day satan is manifesting a fury from hell that has never been unleashed before as it has in this generation. And for those who will wait on the Lord you shall receive a greater revelation of Holy Spirit and you shall be able to vehemently declare that greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 You will need to draw nearer and nearer because your victory will only come by getting into My presence, hearing My voice and patiently waiting for My divine wisdom and guidance. And they that wait upon Me shall never be disappointed and they shall never lack any good thing. So again I say, Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14
