Live the Call

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

In recent days as I am hearing the experiences and testimony of many in the Body of Christ I began to sense that the Body of Christ is in a season of waiting. This season of waiting will be a waiting on the Lord, for the Lord and with the Lord. A shift has taken place and the season of weariness that has sought to define and hinder us is passing away and we are standing with Him at a threshold as He prepares to cross us over. Whether we want to or not, we are going to learn how to wait on the Lord Jesus. But as we wait, our strength is being renewed and we are now being equipped with wings that will allow us to soar like eagles. We are being given supernatural strength to run and not grow weary and walk and not faint. I asked the Lord what we as a people should be doing while we wait. He responded, “live the call”. Among the many things that we have been “called to” the Lord amplified the following to me:

The children of God are called to live in freedom (Galatians 5:13); we are called to live in peace (Colossians 3:15); we are called to share in His Kingdom and glory (1 Thessalonians 2:12); we are called to live pure and holy lives (1 Thessalonians 4:7); we are called you to demonstrate God’s righteousness (Isaiah 42:6); God, has called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ (Galatians 1:6); we have been called to a blessed hope (Ephesians 1:18); God has called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:14); and we are called to eternal life even in the midst of our suffering (1 Timothy 6:12).

And the Lord says, those who are bold enough to receive the call and to live the call to its fullness will be given keys to the kingdom; for it is a time of “whosoever will”. You have been called to extraordinary, supernatural living because you serve an extraordinary, supernatural God. This requires a dying to your flesh daily. You must not seek to satisfy the craving of your flesh but must obediently allow Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into the fulfillment of the call. You cannot live the call without Holy Spirit; He is your Guide, your Comfort, your Peace and your Joy both in the wilderness land and the Promised Land. You must never depart from the truth that you have been called forth for such a time as this and you must live that call as one who is fully persuaded. And even though you have had to be tried and tested in the furnace of affliction know that I Myself through abundance grace has chosen you and in due season I Myself will restore you and make you strong, firm, steadfast and immovable. Nothing will be able to keep you from living the call. No weapon, no obstacle will be able to deter you from the course that I have set for you. Follow after Christ who is your example and who in complete surrender and obedience lived the call. Live the call and serve one another in perfect love; always being completely humble and gentle; remember at all times be patient, bearing with one another in love. Live the call and let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts; being thankful in all situations that I have called you to this way of abundant life. As you live the call you are living a life that I consider worthy and is pleasing to Me bringing joy to My heart. My child I have chosen you and redeemed you and in My Sovereign wisdom I have extended an invitation, a call, specifically to each of you. Do not be as those who were rebellious in days gone by in that when I spoke to My people time and time again they did not listen and when I called to them they did not answer. Live in Christ Jesus for I have called you back from death and destruction, now your required response is the live the call.

1 Peter 1:14-16 “[Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
